The Beauty Radar 2

The Beauty Radar 2
It’s been a little while since I’ve done one of these posts, but today I have a rather eclectic collection of items I’ve been eyeing.

The first is the Aladdin Infuser Tumbler. I first saw it at David’s Tea, and I’ve been coveting it ever since. It’s an on-the-go tea steeper that lets you lower the basket of tea into the cup to steep, then lift it back up to stop steeping – all with the flip of a switch. I’m envisioning not having to stop at a garbage can on my way to class to ditch dripping tea bags ever again!

The second is a bit of a strange one… It’s toothpaste. Crest is bringing out a crazy line of toothpaste called “Be”. So far there are three flavours: Mint Chocolate Trek, Lime Spearmint Zest, and Vanilla Mint Spark. I don’t know about the Mint Chocolate, but I definitely want to try the other two! Can they hurry up and come to Canada?

Next up is Orly Bonder Base Coat. It’s a sticky base coat with a cult following. I’m about out of my Butter London one – I keep adding polish thinner to it to make it useable, but it’s nearing time for a new one. This one is supposed to be really good, and I’ve never tried a sticky base coat before.

When my Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer is done, the next leave-in conditioner I want to try is Mixed Chicks. I’ve tried lots of samples of it and used my aunt’s when I’m at her house, and it’s fantastic. It’s super creamy and moisturizing, and is great at nixing the frizz.

Finally, there’s the NARS Sheer Lipstick in Dolce Vita. It’s an MLBB shade for sure, and I know this because I try it on virtually every time I walk into Sephora. Spending $30 on a lipstick makes me squeamish – but I have a $10 reward to use at Hudson’s Bay, so perhaps I’ll use that to knock the price down a third. We shall see…

That’s it! What have you been eyeing? Anything from new Spring collections?

  1. Even though I’m as white as the driven snow, I have 2b/2c hair and I’ve thought of trying Mixed Chicks because it gets such good reviews! My hair is fine but dry and porous!

    • It’s really good – definitely worth a try. Go light on it if you do because it’s quite hydrating, but yeah! And they have 99 cent sample packs on their website.

Tell me what you think!
