My YSL Collection

YSL collection uncapped

Usually, when I spend $40+ on a beauty product, it’s a palette of some sort.

But in recent years, I’ve been occasionally spending more than I’d care to admit on luxury lip products that make MAC lipsticks look cheap.

YSL beauty products are about as high end luxury as I’ll go, and I fully acknowledge that the prices are ridiculous. We’re talking around $40 for a lipstick, and $50 for the famous Touche Éclat. Read more…

Nars Dolce Vita Lipstick

NARS Dolce Vita

When I was looking for my MLBB shade with a helpful beauty advisor at Sephora, she had me try on Dolce Vita by Nars. I had never tried Nars lipstick – their bases and blushes are what they’re famous for, so I had never really bothered. During the Murale gift with purchase event, I finally picked it up. And I’m glad I did. [Read more…]

Review: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in “Stellar (501)”

Packaging Collage

I bought this product because of the name. I’m a sucker for a good pun. (But then when they released these in the US they called them Rimmel Show-Offs? They’re still Apocalips in Canada, though.)

I also bought this because it was touted as a dupe for the YSL Glossy Stains; however, since biting the bullet a few months ago and actually buying a glossy stain, I can safely say that they are completely different products.

The Comfiest Lipsticks Edit

Lipsticks Cap On

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m not a lipstick or lipgloss person. On the occasions I decide to wear lipstick, I’m much more likely to go for something full-on like a red or hot pink than I am to just wear neutral shades every day. As for gloss, I tend to hate the texture.

However, lip products really tie a look together…so I’m stuck between hating the feeling and wanting the look. Lucky I have these little guys. Read more!

Review: MAC Huggable Lip Colour in ‘Out for Passion’

Mac Huggable 'Out For Passion' cap off

Not long ago, MAC released their Huggable Lip Colour Collection.

I bought into it partly because of the name…I won’t lie. It’s adorable! “Huggable” is a fantastic word.

The other reason I purchased one is because of the claims. A moisturizing lipstick with shiny, buildable colour? Sign me up! Read more!
